12WY Worldview

12WY Worldview

These questions are part of the 12 Week Year process, which I’ll describe in more detail in a future update to this post. For now, here is the Worldview Exercise.

Individual Worldview Exercise

 1.  What are your immediate circumstances? What is happening right now? What issues and concerns are foremost? What roles and responsibilities do you hold, and what demands are they making?

2.  What are your objectives? What short-term outcomes are you seeking? What are your long-term commitments?

3.  What is your vision/sense of possibility? What seems inevitable? What is truly possible? Is there a sense that something new can be invented now? Is there a sense of choices among paths and outcomes?

4.  What are your values and beliefs? What is most important to you? What personal philosophy or fundamental beliefs are guiding your language, behavior and thought processes?

5.  What is your frame of mind? What is the attitude, mood, or frame of reference (i.e., the consistent background emotional tone) that affects openness?

6.  What is your background? What are your personal experiences, and cultural or social influences most at play in your life?

Bring your answers to these questions to the 12WY session. See you there!
